I started Flowetik to help nonprofit and foundation leaders grow and scale their missions through smart, practical branding and marketing. I’ve dedicated my professional life to working with clients whose missions I’m passionate about in health care, public health, education, workforce development, and economic development.
Prior to founding Flowetik, I was co-owner of Argus, a full-service marketing and branding agency, for 20 years.
Three decades ago, I came to the U.S. after successful stints in journalism, PR, and cable broadcasting in my native Venezuela. Upon completing a Masters at Boston University, I was faced with the choice of going back home or continuing my career in the States. I would stay, I decided, only if I could do work that had a meaningful impact. That commitment has guided me ever since. I began by launching Eurocinema, the first international pay-per-view movie service online in the late nineties. Long before Netflix, Hulu, or Paypal, we were streaming art-house films online. Skeptics questioned whether a service like that could ever work. History proved them wrong.
Outside of work, I serve on the boards of the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Foundation, The Boston Foundation, the Boston Chamber of Commerce, and Eastern Bank. I’m also proud to be a founding member of Unidos in Power and the Latino Equity Fund at TBF. Previously, I served 16 years as a Trustee of the Boston Public Library. And most recently, I was appointed by Massachusetts Governor Maura Healy to serve on the state’s Latino Empowerment Council. What I enjoy are mindful yoga practice, sunny beach days, and discovering flow.
